The FIA today released a pointed statement today after Minardi yesterday successfully got a Supreme Court injunction against a stewards ruling that its cars could not take part in the weekend's race.
"Apparently the judge thought it right to interfere with the running of a major sporting event, overrule the duly-appointed international officials and compel the governing body to allow cars to participate in breach of the international regulations, all this without first hearing both sides of the case," the FIA statement read.

Ad Campaign To Kick Off During Daytona 500FAIRFAX, VA – ExxonMobil today announced that it is rolling out one of the most aggressive fully-integrated marketing campaigns in the history of its Mobil lubricants brand to increase its share of the $2 billion retail motor oil segment.
The initiative was developed to support the new line of high-endurance Mobil motor oils, which meet the longer oil-change intervals being recommended by many of today’s automobile manufacturers and to respond to the fact that drivers today are going longer between oil changes – an average of 4,300 miles.

The warning came from the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) after Minardi owner Paul Stoddart's successful Supreme Court action yesterday.
Australian Grand Prix Corporation boss Ron Walker said the statement had "implications for many other countries which host rounds of the FIA Formula One World Championship."
And Stoddart responded by threatening to take the FIA to the High Court in London and "wipe the floor with them".
He strongly implied that if the race was struck off the calendar F1 teams would veto the schedule.

MEXICO CITY - Open-wheel ace Adrian Fernandez showed he could master a stock car faster than most of his NASCAR rivals could solve his hometown's tricky road course on Friday.
In his first day of Busch Series practice, Fernandez turned the fastest lap - an average of 103.631 mph - in a Chevrolet.
The 41-year-old Fernandez, making just his second career race in a stock car, said he still has a lot to learn as he heads into qualifying for Sunday's Telcel-Motorola 200 - the first Busch Series race outside the United States.
"I've never made pit stops in these cars," he said. "It's another style of driving.

Deputy prime minister John Prescott hasn't had an easy time of it over the last couple of years. His plans for regional assemblies collapsed in a wave of apathy, and ODPM's plans to meet the UK's demand for more housing - dubbed Sustainable Communities - has been constantly sniped at as being anything but.
Plans to build tens of thousands of houses in the Thames Gateway, which stretches from East London to the mouth of the River Thames, have been attacked as a recipe for the destruction of the countryside, and as a reckless scheme to build in areas prone to flooding. But is the risk as high as has been claimed?
Does this sound like the life you want? You keep doing the same job you are doing now until you reach retirement age. Yes, you may be laid off or downsized, but you'll end up at another company eventually doing the same job, but probably for less money. When you do retire, you'll need to supplement your social security checks with a part-time job at McDonald's or Wal-Mart. Sounds like a great way to spend those golden years, doesn't it? Who hasn't dreamed of grilling burgers and handing out carts when they're that age?
I know that isn't what you want to look forward to. And it doesn't have to be. Click here to find out how you can save yourself from that fate.
