After the boring Classical Show Tune theme last week and what I call a major upset with Scott or Anthony not voted off, the remaining 8 Idols took to the stage and each sang a song from the year they were born. The theme is still to broad but at least maybe we will know the names of the songs they sing tonight. I wonder last week why the producers would pick Classic Show Tunes when the target audience of American Idol is females from 13-17. Do you really think they knew any of these songs. I am 26 and didn't even know them all. Enough lets see who did what, sang what and said what. Ladies and Gentlemen your Top 8 Idols.

Tonight we are going to start with Ryan Seacrest. What is up with those jokes. You really need to find someone else to write your script because the current guy sucks.
Ryan's Score - 5/25 "I Touch Myself"

Our first real contestant of the night was Nadia and she started things off with a slow song. Not really what I was expecting at all. I really thought things would start off with a bang tonight. It is time for the contestants to start "bringing it" and Nadia didn't. Her vocals were ok but the song seemed safe to me, plus I didn't even know what it was. There was no risk in the vocals and the performance didn't sparkle at all. Well Judges what did you think? Randy didn't even know what the song title was. He thought it started out rough and he didn't like it. Paula acting semi-normal didn't like the song choice. Simon thought it was like musical wallpapper, an appaling choice of songs.
Nadia's Score - 16/25 "When I Dream"

Bo Bice actually picked a great song tonight. A little "FreeBird" but I am still not impressed at all with him. He does have decent vocals but I just don't think he is right for this show. He is definately a rocker where his counterpart Constantine could be considered Pop. The crowd loved Bo though and so did Randy. He thought Bo could have a hit with that song and Paula expects to see him at the finals. Thank god Simon was there to rescue us. I thought exactly what Simon said "What the Hell Was That".
Bo's Score - 15/25 "Freebird"

Anwar I thought sounded the best tonight that he has sounded in a few weeks. Again it was a boring song with no energy (I am starting to drift off again this week) but Anwar had a wonderful vocal performance , one of his best. Randy thinks he is the best singer in the competition. Paula not quite acting right again thinks he is great. Simon even thought it was one his better performances in awhile and then he mumbled something else about a blanket but the crowd was to loud for me to make rhyme or reason out of it.
Anwars Score - 19/25 "I'll Never Love This Way Again"

After getting quite lucky last week, Anthony needed to pull his best performance of the season and it was far from that. I think it may have been his worst. The song was out of tune and his pitch was everywhere except where it should have been. Terrible, Terrible Terrible. Randy thought he did his thing and of course Paula thought he was much better than last week. Simon, well, he thought last week was Anthony's lowpoint and this week he did good. I guess I didn't see what they saw. Maybe it sounded better live, because it sounded "hideous" as Simon put it last week, to me.
Anthony's Score - 14/25 "Everytime You Go Away"

Finally an upbeat song. Thank you Vonzell for waking me up from my nap. Now I must say that I am a Vonzell fan for sure and tonight just proved why. Every week Vonzell seems to get better and better and closer to possibly beating Carrie. Tonight was no different and Vonzell dished out another wonderful performance. While it wasn't one I remember a year from now, it was excellent. Randy thought is was wonderful and Paula thinks she is adorable. Simon thought it was a good choice of songs and that she won't be going home this week.
Vonzell's Score - 22/25 "Let's Hear it For the Boy"

Ok Scott, I think you finally you will be in the bottom 3 this week and more than likely you will be going home. The entire song was a mess right from the start. And you say you are a rocker. Um no. And did anyone catch Paula dancing during the performance. She is a crack head for sure. Randy thought he started off rough, but he thought he brought it home at the end. Paula who is really starting to scare me thought it was awesome. Again Simon tells it how it is. On a whole Simon thought is wasn't any good, and he is right. Pack those bags Scott. You are going home.
Scott's Score - 10/25 "She's Gone"

Damn did Carrie look good this week. Finally she doesn't look so country, but the vocals weren't good at all. She did mess up the words a lot. Randy thought it was alright, but he likes the country girl. Paula thought it was good. Simon finally had a bad comment for Carrie. He thought It's like watching a kitten try to act like a tiger.
Carrie's Score - 19/25 "Love is a Battlefield"

Constantine is definately the best male contestant left. While his performance was a little overboard, it is one I will remember forever. I was a little scared about a Queen song tonight but Constantine attempted it and it was "da bomb" as Randy used to say. But tonight Randy didn't think "da bomb", he gives the vocals a 7 and showmanship a 10. Who cares about Paula's thoughts. And Simon thought it was astonishing.
Constantine's Score - 24/25 "Bohemiam Rhapsody"

Well not much has changed with who I think was good this week compared to last week. Vonzell and Constantine were still the best and Scott was by far the worst. I haven't been picking a "Worst Girl" lately but tonight I must say Nadia had a horrible enough performance to grant her the "Worst Female". But it doesn't matter because Scott is going home.
